Fortunately, the stripes are easy to replicate with adhesive film.

The Avenger is on hold briefly until I get home from Cleveland--but the way the snow is coming down now, I'm not sure when that will be!

I've got an original Centuri Long Tom I just finished rebuilding this summer. Both the booster and sustainer engine mounts had gotten a little worn. The decals had long ago worn off.

I've thought about that, too. My take was that it was to help reduce breaking fins on the booster, since it tumbles in rather than coming down under chute.

BTW, I still have never flown my upscale Avenger (attached)...but one of these days

Very nice! What size engines does it take? 29mm?

I'm back home from Cleveland now, and I think I got out just in time! My colleagues say it's snowing 2" per hour on the east side.

Thanks. It's set up for 38mm, hybrids in particular. It's only a single stage - the booster section doesn't separate

How do you plan to get the fins in line between the stages? Do you try to get perfect 120 angles, or just make sure the fins line up in one orientation? This has been on my to-clone list for a looong time, it's a real classy looking rocket in my book.

Thanks!

I'll continue working on it after I return from Buffalo, NY.

Ah, Buffalo in December----should be nice and balmy! I'll be sure to pack my Speedo and SPF 45.
