Saturn V Dimensions
Hello all, I am looking to create my own model of a Saturn V (SA-506) out of wood (I've just acquired a lathe!) but am struggling to find a diagram that has all the dimensions.
I can find all the stage 1 stage 2 etc general length dimensions but not one with them all that I can scale down. I don't need these to blueprint level just all the lengths and widths of every part from top to bottom? There are umpteen on Pinterest etc but none of sufficient resolution that I can expand to see the measurements. I have most of the measurement from a variety of diagrams but these all seem to differ slightly from one diagram to the next ( e.g stage 3 width is 22 ft in some, 21ft 8 in in another) so a definitive diagram would be great if anyone can point me to one? Thanks Neil PS Sorry if these exist on this site and I just can't navigate properly! I am truly amazed at all the projects people have shown here! I'm a mere amateur just fiddling around! |

I used Google to search using the terms "Saturn V dimensions" and looked at "images." A great number of diagrams and plan views came up.
Here's just one example. http://heroicrelics.org/info/saturn...-v-general.html Get busy with a search engine! Or you could buy Pete Alway's Rockets of the World book.

Thanks Astronwolf. Yes, I've seen this one and a squillion others on google that have some of the measurements but am hoping to find one that shows all in one diagram so they are all matching. I did use this one for the angles of e.g the stage 3 which was v helpful.
I may have to go down the road of paying for this / buying a book but am hoping there is a decent picture out there in the ether. If not then I'll post mine when I've managed to find them all. |

I don't quite understand what you mean here. All matching? The dimensions are the dimensions. The diameter on one diagram is going to be, or should be, the same as on another diagram. So what do you mean by "all matching?"

Hi, I was meaning that I was looking for a single diagram that had all the dimensions on it as unfortuantely they do seem to differ slightly from one diagram to another ( e.g stage 3 width is 22 ft in some, 21ft 8 in in another). I think I have them mostly now anyway thanks.
