Model Missile Nose Cone Base
I already had a Built MMI Aerobee Hi. After obtaining the New one in the Box, I researched the 2. I found this little fact about the Red Plastic Nose Cone Base. The Built one did not have it, it was missing. But in the New Kit, I found the Plastic Base is Plugged. Plugged with an apparent Pool Stick Tip! It is green on both sides and you can tell that is what it is. An Interesting find. See Pics. Danny.

That is really odd.
Could some kid have shoved the tip in there sometime in the last 50 years? Or maybe this was an official, if oddball, way of adding a little weight? * * * I've read about the "styrene insert" in old Model Rocket News plans that used this cone, but I don't think I've ever seen an actual picture of one until now. My life is compleat. I can die.

OK. Since you insist, I'll stick around.
I wonder if there is anyone left alive who knows about the pool cue deal?
