You might shoot a nice letter to whoever is in charge of the park there in Ft. Collins.
I did the same with a letter to Arapahoe County Parks and Rec concerning Dove Valley.
They wrote back saying that there were no regulations prohibiting model rocketry in the park as long as my activity did not impact other park users.
I kind of chuckled at the use of the word 'impact'!

I should inquire. The worst that could happen is getting a "no".

That was me that posted the "Estes Ladies" picture from my tour there in 1966. A pretty young Bill Simon gave us the tour. I met him again in 2010 at the NARAM in Puebla, Colorado. Really a nice guy. He was in the Semroc booth when I met him, we struck up a conversation, then he asked me if I'd like one of Semroc's "Bill Simon Commemorative Edition" Sky Hooks. He signed it, so of course I can never build it.

I also met Carl MacLawhorn and family at the Semroc booth. Such a nice person, and a really important contributor to our hobby.
