Default Estes rocket that used no recovery wadding?

I remember an old Estes rocket that had some type of internal ducting, so it did not use any recovery wadding. Anyone remember the name of that model?

It builds into a pretty model that flies very well (mine from that Semroc kit).

Default Trident also

The Trident does not need wadding, either.

Thanks for the fast replies, everyone. I'll see about getting the Semroc kit.

Out of the two, the Trident is a much more fun build.
The Bandit is just a basic booorrringggg 3FNC rocket that happens to have a baffle.
Other than having a baffle that is different than the Centuri-design, the Bandit is really nothing special.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

I've built a Bandit, but have not yet flown it. It was a fun build even though it was just a 3FNC rocket with the added Baffle. It's a nice looking rocket, and the baffle design is different than most.

I have a Trident that Semroc shipped me accidently when I ordered something else. They were absolutly the best about it when I brought to Sherl's attention and shipped me my other rocket right away and allowed me to keep the Trident.

I have not yet opened the kit, but it looks like an interesting but somewhat complicated build.

You won't be dissapointed. Here's the Bandit I built a couple of months ago:

Neither the Scout, the Streak, the Sprite nor the Mosquito needed wadding either. Nor did the Space Plane, the Spaceman, the Invader, the Gyroc or the Birdie.

And the Phantom "flew" just as well with or without wadding.

Due to the wonders of Semroc engineering and modern technology, their Trident almost builds itself compared to the classic. The ejection ducting slots are laser cut and a jig makes lining up the tubes a snap.
