For the holidays, Michaels is selling candy coated sunflower seeds in a clear container shaped like a Christmas tree bulb. It is rather thick, but the inner diameter of the base is slightly smaller than an 18mm motor casing.

Something else to look at are the clear plastic capsules in the vending machines at the front doors of some stores.

If you can wait until springtime, some Easter eggs are close to BT-60 in size.

The Quest egg capsule nose cone is sometimes available in clear. You might try calling them and talk to Nettie. She is very helpful. It fits their 35mm size tubing. Maybe this could help.

Suggestions

The Estes Eggscaliber #2123 has a clear platic egg capsule, kind of thick with ribbs.

Why don't you use a clear payload section? such as the Supere Nova Payloader Estes #2155

I've had one of these as a NC, mated to the back end of a spare two-piece NC. Came to find out that the plastic will shatter during a bad recovery episode. Not that I wouldn't try one again...

Spraying it with clear lacquer (in very light multiple coats, to prevent it from melting the plastic) might strengthen it.
