Default MRI Phobos

This is currently up for auction on Ebay. I chased it for a while, but once it went north of $25, I left it for those who REALLY wanted it. I liked the idea of flying a vintage MRI kit, but figured that I could figure out how to clone it with the pic that was included with the auction.

I saved the picture, blew the fin pattern up, figured out the length of the body tube, and grabbed a spare nose cone. I think I need a slightly longer Cone, like a Banc-20N, but this will suffice for the moment.

I think you did a very good job with the fin planform. I agree that a BNC-20N would complete this clone.

Was the Phobos MRI's version of the Centuri Javelin?

Got me, but I can see why one might think that. That gives me an idea for a B6-4 Field launch. A 3fnc or 4fnc from as many manufacturers as I can gather. Should make for a long, colorful afternoon. (Assuming I get some painted, that is.)
