WANTED: Sheri's Hot Rockets Saturn V
What can I say - I like this kit. I've built two - the first one I flew to destruction (pretty comprehensively destroyed when the I suffered a J275W case rupture CATO). The second one I built with some upgrades and lessons learned from the first one and is a regular flyer (and a very popular one at that). However I'm realistic enough to know if I fly this one on a regular basis, something bad will happen to it eventually. So I want a spare.
Yes, I know Sheri's went away when Red Arrow Hobbies closed down - I'm just hoping someone has a kit laying around that they never got around to building. |

Im surprised Dave didn't try to sell the new molds he had made, or maybe he did. IDK .Someone could at least make the parts again.

Any luck finding one? I am also looking for one. Another possibility would be a Polecat Saturn V if I could find one.

No, I managed to find a Mercury Redstone, Mercury Atlas, and Gemini Titan (Redstone off ebay, the other two belonged to locals who sold them to me), but no luck with the Saturn V or Saturn 1B (the S1B is not a priority - I have one that Walt Cunningham signed at NARAM 50 and instantly became display only ) I salvaged enough parts from the first Saturn V after the CATO that I'm pretty sure I can re-create one - making cast resin molds/parts and 3d printed stuff - if it comes to that. |
