Gotta love technology. Now you can post one of your awsome build threads. Later Chief

Thanks, Chief. Speaking of build threads, I've continued the "Scud fins in basswood" thread.

I echo that! I knew there was widespread poverty in India, but I didn't realize the depth and pervasiveness of it. Your "on-the-ground" photo-documentation and commentary illustrated them. There's a country that has high technology, nuclear weapons, long-range ballistic missiles, a bona fide space program (including a successful unmanned lunar mission), and yet tens of millions of beggars live on the streets--and most of the people apparently don't mind this state of affairs because the beggars are untouchables and other low-caste members who are unworthy of their sympathy...

Welcome Home and thanks for the insight to India.
I had to show a National Geographic video on the trains of India the other day.
After your stories, I said to the students how NG sugar coated the real India.

One question, what was the first thing you wanted to eat/drink when you got back?

Mission accomplished:
(2) Chicago-style hot dogs, (1) quart of unsweetened iced tea, (1) Dove bar!

I recently placed an order with Harbor Freight and one of the items was defective. At 1:30 PM here I called the customer service number which was answered by a gentleman with an Indian accent.
After resolving the problem, I asked him where he was located. His reply - New Delhi.
I then asked the temperature. His answer was 34 degrees (centigrade) -that's 93 degrees F.
At 11PM! In mid-May. I have trouble with Virginia summers, I don't think I could take it.
