Yes, I'm familiar with Wallace and Gromit. That looks like a fun rocket to try to build. Thanks for sharing.

I first discovered them during a trip to the UK in 1995. I think that was the same year nick park won an Oscar for his animation work. As for building one you might want to try modifying something that has the same general shape. I have two rocket birdhouses in the garden that are similar to that design. They are available here in the states at most hobby and craft stores. They are made in China and probably sold worldwide. It would be easy to cut one apart to add a motor mount and parachute. An Estes d12 or e12 engine would fly it easily. Balance could be tricky on something that stout. I built a tintin rocket based on a v2 a few years ago and it needed a lot of nose weight to be stable, but it works very well.

I'm thinking it would be pretty doable in foam core, with a 3d printed hatch, and 3d printed rivet strips. Or atleast that is how I would go about doing it.

Oh and a very drippy runny coat of orange paint.

Default Thanks to all who.......

....took the time to advise us on the practicality of this venture.

I think we'll have to take time to consider all possibilities along with a nice cup of tea and some Cheddar cheese

Thanks a lot W&G fans

"Cheese, Grommit!"

I do the hand wave when trying to make a point.
My wife and I love Wallace and Grommit. Gave my daughter the three videos when our granddaughter was born. Saw the WereRabbit in a movie theature.
