Yeah, well, a college buddy of mine, who moved to Frisco, actually got to meet Ms Pettyjohn at a Trek con out there. He got the nude poster of her autographed to me personally an gave me the poster. Man, ta-tas like that should have been outlawed by the Geneva Convention! Seriously, she was one sexy lady!

And, yeah, I agree that Grace Lee Whitney was pretty hot too - in that uniform her legs went all the way up to, well, you know! Then, too, Bill Theiss (costume designer) really new what he was doing - that uniform could make just about any woman who wore it sexy!

As I mentioned earlier, I'm going to meet "Yeoman Rand" in a couple of weeks. She's scheduled to appear at a local Sci-Fi convention.

My wife and I attended a Sci-Fi convention several years ago just as something to do one weekend. Walt Cunningham was there, by the way, and it was my first experience meeting an Apollo astronaut.

We enjoyed the convention enough that we started to attend them regularly for a while.

Over the years we've met some pretty interesting people, including some very nice Klingons, but, I have to admit, meeting some of the lovely ladies of Star Trek was certainly part of the appeal. I have photos of myself with Jolene Blalock and Linda Park among others.

Oh, yeah, my wife is in the photos, also.

I've been going to Sci-Fi cons for 35 years, all over the country, met a lot of nice and strange folks, actors and actresses, authors, directors, producers, and fans. I met myself(actor has same name) I've been to many movie and TV show locations across the country.
Would not trade it for the world.

I hope you enjoy the con, Roger. I've had a lot of fun at Trek and SF cons over the years - the closest I've ever gotten to an astronaut is a fellow from Louisville who was trained as a mission specialist but never got to go up. He used to do the con circuit giving some talks about NASA tech and some inside stories about the astronaut corps that were informative and sometimes hilarious. He was a fun guy to hang with in the con suite (one of the perks of actually running an SF con as co-chairman and running operations is getting to spend quality time with the authors and other guests of the con!)

OK, yeah I will give you that one. You are right about Miramanee.

And as to your second question - that's part of the mystery
