Actually, the instructions call for "light earth". Now THERE'S a vague term!

It's Pactra Light Earth. If you look up an FS30140 Testors has that shade of poo.

Great photos! I won't be painting this until I get back from Southern India sometime in April or May, so I have plenty of time to overthink and/or agonize over it. I have a rattle can of Testors Model Master 1954 Light Earth and the color looks right, but I surmise that it's flat and not gloss. What I'll do as a test is shoot a scrap BT with 2 coats of it, buff it with 0000 steel wool, and then do a decal test to see if they "silver". TBC

All fins are now attached and cross-braced until the adhesive cures. This was origianlly going to be a fin-only thread, but I'll keep it going to the end if there's continued interest. TBC

Nearly all the photos I have show it glossy not flat.

Great for applying decals!
