ERTL was also a prime mover of ESCI plastic kits in the '90s.

There are no details other then there are six models featuring KISS and Star Trek themes.

KISS?!? Man, Gene has his hand in everything to market that group.

[QUOTE=Initiator001]Quest has all the old MPC molds.

If Quest have the molds.

Why haven't they produced the MPC Russian Vostok RD-107 Rocket Kit ?
This kit is hard to find and cost alot whin you find one. If Quest would make this kit available
I believe it would sell well.

Why? Perhaps because they are smart?

1) having molds does not mean the molds are in good condition or would work.

2) "I believe it would sell well" is as sound as "I believe people will watch a TV sitcom based upon the Cavemen in the insurance company commercials". In other words, it is not based upon any facts and acting on such a fact-free-feeling could cost millions of dollars.

3) The original kits back in the early 1970's were a nightmare. They were overweight and barely flew on motors back then. The package called for C6 or C9 motors and they never made the C9. The C6 from those days actually had close to 6 Newtons of average thrust. The Chinese C6 has 3.5 Newtons of average thrust for a Looooong time. It would make this rocket crash while under power. And the plastic parts were a nightmare to cement together properly.

I owned an MPC Vostok back in the day....I used the Cox D8-3 exclusively in it after the first flight with a C6-3 the mylar chute was a bugger to get into the 20 series tubing that was the "liner"...i found it in a pile of MPC Model car kits at a Woolworths....
