Coincidentally...

I am currently working with a customer on a 4" version of that nose cone.

This will prove to be a challenge!

This came to my inbox, so ill take it as mail...thats a great idea. Will it be plastic, or will you play it like landing a big fish on a Lathe (turn it in wood)...

Most of the basic structure will be body tube and tube coupler sections. The tip may be an off the shelf ogive nose cone or I may have to make something out of foam/fiberglass.

I'm still working out the engineering on this.

Now that im holding the nose cone in my hand, guess it was longer than i thought since i looked at it closely,,,there IS a lot of detail. Yup, U got yer hands full, especially if you plan to make more than one ? ! But your stragedy sounds nice...im sure Ull figure it out-would like to see the end result ! Might be a good idea to make some kind of "mold" when ur done-who knows, maybe the end product can be blow molded or fabricated again by other means...

The total overall length will be a bit over 39" for a 4" nose cone.

That was from the classic model competition at NARAM a few months ago. Lots of great specimens there.
