When I first saw the "DD" and saw what the name was, I knew immediately that the name was NO accident.

I was abreast of the situation.

I thought the same thing, but never thought I'd hear someone own up to it.

Some more history.

There hasn't been that many clustered rockets from Estes.

Number of motors in ( )

Uprated Saturn 1-B (4)

Gemini-Titan (2)

Pro Patriot (4)

Thunderstar (2)

36 D Squared (2) Double D's

I know I'm leaving some out, please fill in the gaps.

On the 36 D squared, the rocket had to be able to fly on only one engine, which it does, check out the reviews. The design is unique. As is the name !

Estes (Barry) stated that he would never offer anymore clustered rodket kits, I had a couple in the works and scrapped them.

On another note, Estes watned the 36 because it use tow D motors and as you know, motors come in three packs, so inorder to contineu to launch, you would have to buy atleast two packs of motors for three launches.

The Saturn V started out as a 3x 18mm model, then was changed to setup for optional 3x 18mm or 1x 24mm interchangeably.

The Scrambler was a 3x 18mm model.
