Default Only took six months

Estes Pro Series Ventris. Decals are homemade inkjet types. Paint is Valspar gloss white, Testors Bright Red Gloss, and Testors Metallic Black. If the weather holds, I may have the balls to fly it this weekend.

That came out nicely!

It has an interesting 1970s Centuri vibe.

Thanks, I'm very happy with it. It does have a Centuri-esque thing going. It reminds me of the Enerjet birds, but I think that's just the general bulk and 4fnc lines speaking. It really does look good in person, especially considering my track record. The black metallic paint went on nicely, likely because I forced myself to go lightly for a change. The fin can was originally my usual flourescent orange, but I didn't care for the way the way it looked, so I resanded and hit Hobby Lobby again for the gloss bright red. (Which I'm also using for my Farside X clone that I hope to be able to show off in the next few days.)

I dig it. Nice work.

The paint reminds me of the current Aero-Dart's scheme; which is a good one.

Six months, you say? Speaking of a long time and mentioning Aero-Darts and paint—I've been looking at my A-D in primer for about a year. I've been working on a little Sprite and it's got me going again. I'll be doing some painting here soon.

Again, real nice work on the Ventris.

Thanks. It probably looks Aero-Dartish because I have no originality and that was what I was thinking of when I started masking things off. If the weather holds for me tomorrow, which looks pretty decent at this point, I'll be painting my Zepher upscale. I'd like to have that bullet in the chamber if the launch goes off as planned this weekend. Luckily it's an easy paint job.

Okay. I'll underpower it with three SU Estes BP engines.
Gotta start somewhere.

It SHOULD fly with REAL POWER; something in a 29mm APCP flavor as intended, please.
