I'm still stuck in Alpharetta, GA.

So have fun. I at least made it to one NAR function this year. And I'll still be able to fly rockets tomorrow at SoAR's launch.

Darn it, Roy.

What is with you and NARAMs?

Okay, I made it to the NARAM hotel.

It's a nice place. Much better than any Ramada Inn.

Heck, you walk into the lobby and there is a sign welcoming you to NARAM.

The convention center sign welcomes the 'National Association of Rocketery' (They can't spell).

Many, many rocket people are here.

When I was checking in the desk person handed me my key and a coupon that let's NAR members get a free beer at a local brewery.

That's right: FREE BEER!

This has been a great NARAM so far and there has not been any rockets flown!

Oh, I found this 'thing' behind the sink in the bathroom.

What is it?

A Klingon torture device maybe...

A soap dispenser?

A water-hammer suppressor?

The pump that Austin Powers tried to hide?

Have been at the event hotel about an hour and a half....

As Bob noted, it's fancy (that odd looking thing is the bathroom sink's faucet....it took a bit to figure out how to run the thing).

Parking is iffy (the hotel shares lots with the Pueblo convention center...which means that Thursday and Friday nights are going to be interesting next week based on billboards I saw on the drive down I-25) and the internet is sssssslllllllllooooooooooooowwww. Good thing I brought my little FreedomPop gadget. I have a feeling I may be using it more than the hotel's "service". It's so slow their own login page timed out the first time I tried it....!

Fins and nose weight - I bet it would fly.
Oh, it's metal? Forget I brought it up.

I was having a similar issue with my internet connection.

I called the front desk and one of the staff members came up, called their ISP and got it fixed for me. Normal performance internet for me now.

Well, we'll see.

Just spent the last half hour listening to stories by someone who has lots of them to tell...and found out as we both came upstairs it was Bob Kaplow.

Internet does seem better now.
