Default Quicky classic build

I recently bought a cone from Carl to clone a Wolverine, which meant that I had to find another use for the one I bought at NARCON from BMS either last year or the year before. Building a Teros without the silver stickers that fit in between the fin root and the body tube didn't appeal to me, so I went with the BSG Laser Torpedo. Man, was this an easy bird to build. I cut it out on a Sunday morning and had the parts together by that night. I did without an engine hook because it was an external hook the way it was designed, and I hate those. A little masking tape will do the job just as well. I primed it and started the sanding today, and I'm planning on stopping at Lowe's for fluorescent paint later today.

I'd rather it were. That way I wouldn't have to print up any cheesy BSG decals.

I hate external motor hooks too. You could convert it to 13mm. You'd have an inexpensive flier and an easy internal hook to boot.

They obviously never heard of the modern invention called tape.

Looks to me that there's enough space below the trailing edge of those fins for using tape
to secure the engine without the need for engine hooks.

BTW, great looking model!

Speaking of that ram jet cone profile, I was looking at the Strike Fighter(EST#2015) the other day. I think *it* uses a BT55 cone though and might be proportionately longer, but the Strike fighter is one I'd like to clone one of these day. Any one else built one of those?

Looks good Bill!

Will Doug maybe I could hit you over the head with a J motor casing and when it hurt’s let me know, and I might stop, but then again maybe not.

But maybe some people do not know the difference between a paper casing and metal.
