I can't help it. I'm a sucker for birds like this one. Anyone know which Semroc nose cone would be the one to order as a replacement?

Bill,

If this is the Centuri V-2, kit #KS-19, BMS has this one pre-drilled for the nose ballast. The dimensions are:

Diameter: OD 1.673" (probably should be 1.637", but this is what's listed), ID 1.590" -- fits BT-60, not ST-16
Length: 5.50"
Stock# CENV2NC
Price: $5.45

(Carl doesn't show one that matches these specs, but he could probably Krellvenate one... )

A Fish Named Wallyum bought this on ebay:

So, Bill, what'd you give for it?

You are a sucker for these, I'll agree. So, what am I bid for this?

I wonder if anyone is every going to take this one home:

Old Bertha

I LOVE Berthas... deeply, but I can't see paying that much even if it was unbuilt and still in the box. I'd just assume build from scratch with balsa parts and get the same satisfaction.

BTW, what's up with that pointy nose? Did Berthas ever come that way? I've never seen em with anything other than a hemisphere.

If they keep re-listing this, they'll have already spent $120... they might as well cut to the chase and price to sell.

I've seen this before. I can't believe the price he has on it. Then again, he wants $140 for the Fisher-Price garage that we bought for our kids at a garage sale for $2.
BTW, that appears to be an Alpha.

$2.75 I'm pretty happy about the deal. It'll be worth it just to put an original Centuri kit back in the air.
Well, unless I get a hankering to launch it on a D21.

Yes... yes it does!

It was DEFINITELY worth a few dollars to reservice that Centuri. Just to get to handle old rocketry stuff is awesome. I recently came into an old box of Estes miscellany... VERY little of it was actually useful in the practical sense, but ALL of it was cool to connect with... that V2 will FLY!

Heh, I have boxes of battered rockets. I'll be sure to contact you when I get rid of this stuff.
