I could have easily handled another hour or two

I agree, I could have done another hour easily and the more I talk the more secret info would have most likely come out of my mouth.

John said he didn't care for some of the "deco" jobs the art department came up with, but I think they nailed the BSV design perfectly

I am happy to hear you liked the deco on the Black Star Voyager. I came up with it.

I for one hope you reach out and do another 1-3. Have some notes this time about historical stuff which is more welcome than secret releases anyway. It's okay to mention the bugs as well as the features of past events. It humanises the fact Estes has had a tremendous historical impact on generations.

I believe by the end of next week a bring back kit will be announced. It's another one of those kits I always wanted but never purchased. It's not a SciFi but it's still cool in my opinion and it is going to be REAL easy to paint but their are a good number of decals.

My guess is SR-71 or something similar to it. He said the NC could not be done on a lathe. I listen to John!

Lean into the core burning 24mm long motor thing. I think the issue was igniter length, but that was solved with AT as a vendor. Cut back on G's and quadruple down on igniters.

The SR-71 doesn't need a lot of decals. The first thing that popped into my mind was the Citation Patriot. Simple black and white paint and a ton of decals.
Other heavily decaled kits easy to produce again with minimal cost and simple 1 color paint that jumped into my head after the Patriot were the Nike-X and Colossus (stretched Maxi Alpha III) and a couple that have already been brought back, the Orbital Transport and Interceptor.

I LOVE the Patriot. My mom got mine at Broadway department store on her charge card!

You're right ElJefe- I was thinking of the Interceptor/Trajector cone but its shorter, blunter and 2 inch diameter - not .976 inch diameter like the X-16 nosecone. So an X-16 is possible - though I still think we'll see Starship Nova. The design fits with thge current, smaller Sc-Fi designs from Estes.

Thanks John, for participating in the podcast, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's really great how you stayed engaged in the Rocketry community. I hope there are more podcast appearances in the future!
