I'm also not sure what the meaning "pro-built" means to some people as they throw the term around loosely. The fins in some of the shots don't look like they have ANY sealer or filler on them at all and were simply painted bare balsa. I do not see that as "professional".

Now that I read this, I have to cut them some slack. Having sold the contents of my mom's house to an estate auctioneer, I see how they work. They get stuff cheap they have no idea what it is and how much it's worth and they have to sell it somehow.

I missed the first one, though the obvious model ID mistakes aren't there. It clearly can't be as old as claimed-same comment about printing names out in a font other than Pica or Elite. We forget how difficult it was to make simple signs before everyone had computers and printers. Again, no signs of aging. I'm wondering too how these are going to be shipped. Disassembled and crated? Yikes.

Roy, I agree. Probably just ignorance rather than an attempt to deceive.

Caveat emptor indeed.

Whether intentional or unintentional this models may violate Ebay terms as applied to sale of counterfeit or misrepresented items. As such the lot should likely be pulled by Ebay.

They're only hurting themselves if they only got $99 for that!
I agree, regardless of vintage, that display is easily worth more than 100 bucks.

I don't think ebay should pull them off or have any sort of "counterfeit" protection AT ALL.
If someone is STUPID enough to fall for it without doing proper research....SUCKERRRRRRRRRRR !
That should all fall under BUYER due diligence....
However if the seller is deliberately being a LIAR without revising a listing after someone points out inaccuracies, that is different.
Caveat Emptor, PAL !

The seller has not bothered to change the listing description in spite of my message AND reply stating "it was a good idea" to. Apparently, she'll get SOMEONE'S money so it appears an accurate, HONEST description is no longer a concern.

Yep. Definitely a ripoff scam-artist.
Total POS.
Report the auction. Seems to be a DELIBERATE attempt to deceive.

Took one last look and no changes. So I did report this as a fraudulent auction. Let Ebay take care of the rest. I don't like people being dishonest even AFTER the inaccuracies were pointed out. I feel it really doesn't matter to her now that she has someone locked on her. It's also too bad you can't warn others about what's going on either.

If there is obvious intent to deceive after description flaws are pointed out, I would report it as well.
