Incredibly talented guy, and always a pleasure to deal with.

Doug is the artist behind all the current North Coast Rocketry art work.

He also did the logo for us for the CanAm Cup.

Besides doing his own kits which he has offered in the past, Doug has also designed for Apogee, Fliskits, Estes, and Quest. Only other designers I know of who have done kits for so many companies are Bob Sanford and Matt Steele. That's pretty good company.

Thanks again. Always enjoy his designs. Hopefully he has more up his sleeves and will get them out some way or another. Again, appreciate all the info.

Looks like Apogee has three new kits coming soon " Shrockets by Apogee " Guess they are kitting some more of the plan packs. Very happy to see this.

I have always wanted to build the Harrier model. Are there plans available anywhere?

I'm always designing, I just need someone to produce them.

I reverse engineered it a few years back. Here. I think that it's probably close.

pods:
(2) BT55 x 8-1/8"
(2) 55BB nose cones
Bulkheads to plug the base of the BT55's

lower:
(1) BT50 x 5.5"
(1) 50Y nose

engine mount. I used 18mm

Launch lug and parachute.

Attached should be a .PNG version of the fins I made. There were 6 total, 2 of each design. On the lower BT50 tube, I put a small fin at a right angle to the larger fin. These were mounted to the lower tube with an angle of about 60 degrees between the larger fins. I chose to put them flush with the bottom of the tube.

Also in that drawing is the cockpit section. There were two of these made from 90 to 120 weight paper. One was put on each side flush with the bottom of the BT55 tubes.

I mounted the pod BT55 tubes opposite each other on the BT50 tube, flush with the top of the lower fins. The longest fins were put on these tubes, opposite each other, about 3/4" up from the bottom of those tubes.

For recovery, I made one of the 55BB noses eject, and left the other 55BB nose glued in place. I had also added a conduit between the BT50 and the BT55 so the ejection charge would move to the outer tube. I'm not sure if that was Shrox's plan, but I wanted to assure that the parachute didn't eject from the center tube and get tangled in the outer pods.

I did draw up some decals, but those images aren't so good now. Drawing up some rectangles, and shark eyes and mouths, is most of the work.

I'd still buy a plan book if you went that way.
