Actually, something did break before he hit the wall....he broke traction.

Check the video closely. There's a dark line going across the track. I don't know if it's an actual dark area, shadow, or what, but it is exactly at the top of a bump. That and too much throttle caused him to bin it.

He should have WHACKED THE GAS and powered thru it.

Looks like he did whack the gas and tried to drive thru the wall...

Kinda reminds me of the stories I've heard of folks driving off the dealer lot and wrapping their new Hellcat around the nearest telephone pole...
