Default Removable Shock Cord Anchor

Hello All,

For each of us who has been flying model rockets for any significant duration, there comes a time when the shock cord in a favorite sport model or scale model "kicks the bucket" and presents the problem of installing a replacement. This is no easy task in a repeatedly-flown rocket, as the inside wall of the body tube becomes coated with ejection charge residue that hinders the adhesion of glue. At best, gluing in a new shock cord and anchor is a messy chore.

Dr. Roy F. Houchin II has written an illustrated article about a new, removable shock cord anchor that solves this problem (*and* it can be retro-fitted into most model rockets). Here is a link to the article, which appeared in Tim Van Milligan's "Peak Of Flight" newsletter: http://www.apogeerockets.com/educat...wsletter231.pdf

I hope this information will be helpful.
