Default ENERJET Nike Smoke won on Ebay !

I just won the auction for the original Enerjet (real smoker-not regular Centuri kit) Nike Smoke on ebay !
I know you collector purists will cringe when you hear this, but I am going to BUILD and FLY it !!!!!
I can't wait !
Got a bargain on it too !
(at least less than the $300 I have seen them go for)

Excellent!!! Be sure to post pics when it arrives. Give some thought to doing an EMRR review. This is a rare opportunity.

Nice catch! If you scan the plans and send them into Scott, he can replace the not so great copy of the plans I sent him that are on his site. Also, if you could confirm (or deny) that the 'smoke' tube is a BT5 or equivilent, that would help too.

Thanks,

Sean

While we're on the subject, did anyone ever have, as I did, the first Centuri version where the nose cone was two vacuformed halves instead of a blow-mold?

Congrats! I was planning on bidding on that myself, but got caught up with some family stuff so missed the end of auction. Yes, you got it for a good price. Please scan everything for me to post on YORP.

I've still got one down in this mess somewhere.

Once I get the kit I will confirm/deny if the smoker tube is BT-5 size; I saw one of these kits in the past and seem to remeber it was NOT BT-5 size, but more like Estes BT-3 (1/70 Sat 1B/Little Joe II escape tower spike tube size).
I know the kit does not have the header panel.
Unfortunately I do not have a scanner; I may be able to locate one though (Kinko's ?)
The only thing that would need to be scanned is the instructions right ?
I could measure any unique parts/take digital photos and provide those.

I see you're in MI. Buzz Nau is in MI also and he could scan it for you. The fins and any other templates would need to be scanned as well to get proper dimensions. Digital pics of the nose cone showing how the smoke tube fits into it and how the smoke exits would be very beneficial.

The fins are exactly the same as the standard Centuri kit so I don't think a scan of those will be needed...I will compare to the Centuri Nike-Smoke just to be sure; the only things that are different in the Enerjet version are the 29mm motor mount and the "smoker" system.
Even the Nose Cone is the same....really this is just a Centuri Nike Smoke with some additional parts.
I really doubt that this will ever be flown on a 29mm ANYTHING.
More likely I will fly using a Semroc 24mm adapter.

Don't forget the face card.
