Semroc Orion
I'm putting the finishing details on a Semroc Orion that I'm building for a friend. The facecard shows "yellowish" small parts (APS fairings, ullage rocket fairings, retro rocket housings, etc.) Should they be yellow or gold?
Also, what should the rear nozzle be, black? Thanks!

You should be asking your friend how he wants it. If you want it to look like the Centuri catalog model, all the little bits will be white and the nozzle red. If you want it to look like the SEMROC artwork, I'd suggest a nice deep rich yellow for the bits and a black nozzle. Mine has been sitting primed for a month waiting for lower humidity. I think I may mix the Centuri/SEMROC art and go with yellow bits and a red nozzle.

Good idea. I'll ask him. BTW, here's some photos of the build.

He wants it finished like the original Centuri 1972 catalog version. Does anyone have a link to that image?

Then you are almost ready for decals. Paint the nozzle and the tip red, get some trim monokote for the silver bands on the pods, and choose between the SEMROC decals and making your own.

Certainly over $1K, but far shy of $2K
