Default Working on my motor history site

It's still not ready, but I have the basic structure up and a few photos. I'll add company and motor info over the next few weeks.

I'm always looking for more photos and more info.

Site is at www.jdwindsor.info

Dale, that is a commendable and valuable project! The only problem (which isn't your fault, but is a trait of the web site template) is that the full motor listings aren't accessible. For example, when I open the list of American-made motors, I can see that it extends below AVI (at the bottom of the screen), but if I try to scroll down below the AVI entry the whole motor list disappears and I'm left with the initial "Rocketry" icon.

Dale,

Feel free to use whatever pics and info you'd like out of this thread about the Colored Box Rock-A-Chutes.

Also feel free to use whatever pics you like from this thread about MMI's first kit, Aerobee Hi Starter Kit 001A.

If you'd like higher res photos please let me know.

As I've mentioned before, your work on this project is fantastic. When your site is not up there is no other source for this info. Thanks again for all the work you've put into this.

Steve

I'll fix that. The motor list just kept getting longer and longer.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback and the info. This project gives me something to do when I'm having problems with my back.

Default Updated motor website tonight

Added more photos. Changed the theme/layout.

Text is coming. And more photos.

Also haven't sorted/organized the photos yet (ex. the Aerotech motors will be sorted by diameter, right now they only look like they are sorted).

Default AMROCS and BoMar motors?

Dale, another model rocket company that offered motors to go with their kits was AMROCS (see: http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/ca...7amrocscat.html ).

Also, BoMar, whose 1969 catalog (see: http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/ca...69bomarcat.html ) said that they did not produce model rocket motors at that time, *did* say that "Production of our motors will commence as soon as our research program has been completed." I wonder if they ever produced their own motors?

Thanks. I'd love to hear more about CD, as well. Didn't USR take over ACS-Reaction Labs motors?

AMROCS resold RSC motors. I don't know if RSC actually made their own motors either.

BoMar never got their motor production off the ground (they weren't around very long either. I built a couple of their kits when I was a wee lad).
