Let us examine the ramifications of such a "no foreign rockets" policy, were Estes to implement it.

*Hums a medley of "Beasts of England" and "The Internationale"*

That would mean no classic kit re-issues or brand-new kits of the following rockets and missiles that were/are used by or in the United States (this list is by no means exhaustive):

Anything used or partially manufactured by a US agency or company, I don't consider foreign.

All of those listed directly above except the V2, Soyuz and Ariane would not matter one iota to me if they were ever kitted as most of them I see as quite frankly boring anyway.
The entire Black Brant series except the IV are pretty much boring 3/4FNCs.

Anything even remotely related to military hardware from France is permanently banned as far as I'm concerned; their military hardware does not have to work as they would not know what to do with it anyway.

I have no interest in any sort of chinese rocketry that does not have a long stabilization stick attached to it.

I Hope the selection of models shown at the iHobby show gives you a feeling what I am all about.

Next year if all goes well you will see a couple new scale models come out in addition to the mini engine powered Honest John.

Although I like the good old models of years gone by you will see more and more brand new stuff coming out since in twenty years I am hopeful some of them will be the new classics for the now younger generation.

This good to hear. I love the old models just as much as the next guy, but I love hearing about new models. Thanks for the update and keeping folks "in the loop"

I'm sure Toyota wishes more Americans would apply that definition of "foreign" to their cars that are built at US Toyota factories. :-)

The BBVIII, BBIX, BBX, BBXI, and BBXII are all multi-stage vehicles with body reducers, stage separation drag plates, and other details that make them much more than 3FNC/4FNC models.

They sure do know what to do with it--they *sell* it and make profits from it! Besides, Estes has already produced scale kits of the French Exocet missile, so the "gallic precedent" has already been set! :-)

Then you'll have to give up model rocketry except for using Aerotech motors...our black powder motors are, when all is said & done, nothing more than glorified Chinese black powder skyrocket motors (some of which are made in China, for Quest) with fancier "fuses"...and no sticks.

I already use probably 75% Aerotech for my flying now anyway.
Much more value per n-sec.

Last I checked, Estes still continues to produce their BP motors here.
I have bought a total sum of ZERO Quest motors since they have been produced in China; bought the same number of China-produced Estes kits. See no reason to change that behavior either.

About the only thing I willingly buy that is produced in china is my yearly firework supply.

As far as Toyota goes, I'd never apply that definition to them.
In my book any vehicle produced by a NON-US headquartered company is foreign.
Other than a select few EUROPEAN brands, I consider them to be PIECE OF CRAP traitorous JUNK HEAPS that should be legally STOLEN from the idiots/jackwagons/clowns/TRAITORS that buy them and then ran off cliffs just for kicks. I'd actually like to see such mentioned activity LEGALIZED !!!!

Love you too! Of course, those names could also be applied to the American car manufacturers and the unions that control them. American cars are as junky as their foreign owned counterparts....perhaps even more so. I so wish it wasn't this way, but I have owned enough "American" cars, and have too many friends and family that do, which have presented me with more than enough evidence.

I have two rules when it comes to land transportation.

1) Will never buy a car from a foreign-headquartered company not named Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Bentley, McLaren, Aston-Martin, or Rolls-Royce (there may be a couple I missed, but most will get the drift)

2) Will never buy any production american-made motorcycles (especially Hardly-Movingsons) as with the exception of ONE Buell power-plant they are all ill-sounding crates that shake like out of balance paint-mixers.
