Sorry! I just checked and I was thinking of Jerry Flynn, not George Flynn.

No, that was another George Flynn. Bunny had to print a 'mea culpa' retracting that obit in the Model Rocketeer. George then showed up at NARAM 50's Old Rocketeer Reunion.

Gordon Mandell was from NY but he's been living in Alaska for at least the last 40 years or so, where he worked for the FAA. He may be retired by now. Haven't talked to him in a while.

I don't recall seeing the retraction. Was it in another newsletter?

They let all of his Centuri motors get through that ended the other day. They're a LOT more lax now on the motor thing for whatever reason.

Yep, they let them through all the way till after the auctions had closed THEN pulled them (well, at the very least the pack I won....).

I suppose they pulled all the others, too, but don't know that for certain.

They do SEEM to have gotten more lax, but as I mentioned in the Enerjet 1340 thread, they let a sealed, truly MIB (and it was in a box, not a bag) Enerjet F67 motor go all the way till the LAST day (within hours of closing), then pulled it. It was up to something like $200 when it was pulled with a BUNCH of bids on it (this was just a couple weeks ago). Would have really been interesting to see what it would have gone for. It was not listed by this 'CAP99' person though.
