Nice Bill, a real classic.

I was at a LHS a couple years ago, and hanging up on a high wall, they still had a large Estes parts display (it may still be there), with a few odd parts left, like screw eyes, streamers, etc., and a few cones, including this one. I asked, and they still had them behind the counter!

Yep, and for that exact reason.

You ever think about making removable probes? Put them in for display, pull 'em out for flight.

I think this has been built since around 2007, so this is a rebirth of sorts.

Bill

You did a great job on the build and I like your attention to detail.

Yeah, but the one on top of the fin was the deal breaker.

The conversations on cones and the potential for re-releases always draws down to the question as to whether Hobbico will get in the specialty cone business. You can get a bag of PNC-50 and PNC-60, but could you get an Alien Invader cone as a spare, or indeed the planned release using the Manta cone? I suppose that probelm is that the more exotic cones are produced in runs to match the kit run.

Thanks, but up close the details aren't that impressive. I'm too impatient to go for the big finish. Mine usually wind up with two coats of Fill & Finish at most. But they look good at a glance!
