There will be changes coming in the near future at Richard Bong state recreation area.
The home of the dog trainers and everybody else watch out.

We have a meeting with the DNR on Wednesday to discuss these issues that have been brought up and hopefully come to a meeting of the minds.

Just let it be known that we are on top of this.
I have provided them with a good amount of data on the how's and why's of our operations.

The DNR doesn't need to be contacted by everyone just yet. If a public comment period is called for in the future we'll ask for it and we'll let them have it with both barrels then.
In the meantime I'm asking everyone to refrain from tying up phone lines and emails to the park or the DNR.

This may be short and sweet, it may even result in some good things too.
For now, trust Mark and I working with Frank and TWA to put our best foot forward.

Chad I will have to see if I can rent a big truck to bring it all. The WOOSH launch at Bong is next Sat. Sun. right?

If by "next" you mean the 19th and 20th, yes.

Yes that is the dates I mean. I didn't see the 1PM start date. Is that the time we can start to set up or the time the 1st rocket can be launched? Maybe after Weds. there won't be any flying at Bong anymore. Hope for the best.

While I do not forsee any opportunity to personally fly there, I hope you reach an acceptable resolution on the use of the site.

Besides, I like to snicker whenever I see the name in an event announcement...

Great news! Thanks to all who helped work on this. I don't get down to Bong much, but its nice to know the option will be there should I decide to build/fly some larger rockets.

Many thanks to Mark and all involved.

Correction:
That was Bob Justus not Dan Byra.
Move along, nothing to see here...

Besides, I like to snicker whenever I see the name in an event announcement...Me, too. But I always try to keep in mind that Richard Ira (Dick) Bong is America's ranking ace of WW2 (40 confirmed kills) and a recipient of the Medal of Honor. So I try to keep my giggles to a minimum :D
