My name is Matthew Schultz, and I am a technology Instructor at Lakeview Technology Academy in Pleasant Prairie WI. Not only am I a technology instructor, but I am also involved in an organization called Skills USA. A national organization for middle school and high school students that allows students to compete in certain skill sets against their peers. I was just chosen for chair of the Model Rocketry Competition last year. Seeing that it was my first year I had a lot to learn about model rockets, and about chairing such a competition. I learned a lot last year, and want to make some big changes to the competition. To do so I need help from our members of your organization. In all honestly I am not a seasoned Model Rocket Pro. I am a tech teacher who was asked to chair this competition so it wouldn’t be canceled. After my first year chairing the competition I learned a lot, but still need to learn more. I was hoping that your organization could help in that area. I need Ideas for competition guidelines, tests, and any other information your organization could lend my way.
