Since the October DARS launch was rained out, we have moved the Extreme BP contest to the November 18-19 Turkey Shoot launch in Windom.

Stuff as many black powder motors as you can into a cluster or stager (or clustered stager :o) and come on out for lots of fun and some prizes, too. First prize is a Madcow Rocketry Buzzie <http://www.madcowrocketry.com/pages/buzzie.html> . This is a really kewl 2.6" kit with a 29mm motor mount. It's one of the most complete kits I've ever seen. Besides laser cut fins and fin slots, it includes a kevlar shock cord and a nomex chute protector. And, for the purists, it comes with balsa nose and tailcones.

Second place and farther back will get to pick from a selection of cluster motor mounts courtesy of http://www.jonrocket.com/ . These will come in handy for next year's contest :)

Other events at the Turkey Shoot include:
o DARS Classic contest for vintage rockets
o Out of production motor launch
o Cola Wars for rockets built using plastic soda bottles
o Model and High Power sport flying for everyone

o We plan to put up some hybrids, too. Keep your fingers crossed.

The Extreme BP rules are in an updated flier here: http://www.dars.org/LaunchPages/rules/extreme-BP-flier3.pdf Contest flight cards have been added on page 2. If you plan to participate, use these cards. After your flight, get the card back from the LCO and present it and your rocket to me for validation and scoring. We'll keep the scores posted at my tent. The prizes will be presented near the end of the launch. If you have any questions, email or call me at doug_man_sams <at> yahoo <dot> com or 972-741-5022 .

Hope you can make it. And support our sponsors. For more info on the launch and these other events, go to: http://www.dars.org/LaunchPages/turkeyshoot.html

Regards,
Doug

I really like your Astron Midget upscale fleet.
I just built another original-size Midget clone in the original Metallic Blue/White color scheme and plan to fly it on a A10-0T to 1/4A3-3T.
Any plans available for those clones such as the BT-70 or 2.6 version ?

The BT-60 plans are here: http://home.flash.net/~samily/bidget/

Plans for the Midget T-40 (not shown) are here: http://home.flash.net/~samily/midgetT40/Midget-T40.pdf

Ping me next week and I'll get you some fin drawings and dimensions for the BT-70 version.

Also, for your clone, keep in mind you can use the the 1/2A3-4T for the sustainer, too.
