Anyone know the part # designations for the nose cones Estes puts in the NC-50 and NC-55 assortment packs (i.e. PNC50Y or PNC55AO, etc)?.

I think the nose cone assortment packs don't have a "standard mixture". You get whatever happened to be available the day they were made up. Kind of a "grab bag".

It makes it difficult if you're looking for specific cones. My local hobby shop carries some of the assortments and while they are a little more expensive than some of the mail order outfits, at least you can look them over before buying.

The last PNC-55 assortment I bought was all Black Brant cones.

Gee, that kinda stinks. I would have to drive three hours to get to a hobby shop with a selection of rocketry stuff (Rebar-Rocketry). So, guess I will have to go the balsa route, maybe Thrustline has what I need. Thanks for the input.

Well, for the moment, I was needing a PNC50Y and a PNC55EX, but of course balsa versions would be fine. BMS? Is that Balsa Machining Services?
