I will fly some $h1t, blow some $h1t up and sell some $h1t, so I will have a very, very, merry Christmas. I wish the same for all, and for those who cannot, to have time with family and friends. That is the center.

Indeed, merry whatever you celebrate to all! Except those who's time is way too valuable to waste accepting such a greeting.

That Festivus was a trivia question on the web today. Never heard of it until today.
Do you know what year it started without looking it up?
I do now.

It was 1962--the year Festivus Haggen (played by Ken Curtis) first appeared on "Gunsmoke" as Matt Dillon's deputy.

It was popularized in Seinfield.

The trivia answer said 1966 and said nothing about 'Gunsmoke'.
Did you know 'Gunsmoke' was originally offer to John Wayne but he turned it down flat. He suggested his movie stand in James Arness play the part, brother of Peter Graves. Arness also turned it down but Wayne talked him into to doing it. After a few years, he was eternally grateful to Wayne for talking him into doing the show. It lasted 20 years. 1955-1975.

Yes, I knew that.
I was trying (and failed miserably) to be funny by doing a lame play on words between "Festus" and "Festivus".
What I DIDN'T know was that Arness was Peter Graves' brother!

Yeah, it's true. Also, Arness was a WWII vet wounded in action, hence his limp. He couldn't walk for very long so all his walking scenes were filmed in the A.M. before it tuckered him out!
I love triva like this.

Very nice!
I got a book, a CD, a candle, two matchbox toys from my daughter and underware. Yeah!
Oh and a 29mm reloadable motor with all the fixens. A P29-2G, whatever that means?
A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all full of peace, love, family, and good health. If one has decent health today and most of one's family in decent health, one has much to be thankful for.
In the new year may all your builds go well, may your paint not run, may your fins not shread, and may all your recoveries be 'tree free'!

Happy Boxing Day!
I'm matched against two elderly aunts, so the odds are in my favor. Althought Ruthy has a mean upper cut.

Yeah, a candle. I like candles that are pine scented. They remind me of my mother and brings back a Christmas memory from days of yore. It also has a very therapeutic effect. Find a scent you like and try it.
