Anyone know anything about this company? I picked up #7, which I plan to build despite its low # status. ;) They could use a proofreader for the Ebay listing, but they've managed to sell off all of the kits they put up for bid.

Sorta looks like someone's been reading our "GOONY" posts and has tried to market a kit similar to them. :o  Might even have rummaged through a few BARCLONE designs for inspiration...

Or just constipation...

At least, I think it looks like a BT-60 and a PNC-60 from the Baby Bertha as a starting point; or perhaps a BNC-60 from BMS, maybe. The description did say 18mm motors...

They mis-spelled "ZEPHYR" as "ZEPHER"...:p

Apparently that is an old spelling. There are quite a few things that turn up on an Ebay search spelled that way. Mostly automotive.

Well, tomorrow will be two weeks since payment was made. I e-mailed the guy tonight reminding him that people generally expect faster service than that, especially when they've paid within hours of the end of the auction. This doesn't bode well for his review.

Finally arrived yesterday, 16 days after payment was made (if you're counting at home.) Not too badly done from a kit standpoint, at least based on my first peek in the bag. It looks like a quick build, and I'd like to fly it this weekend, given the chance. I think I'll bust it open tomorrow and make a quick project of it.

But as the auction description says (like 5 times), the super cool paint job that you just don't see on most models may take you a while!

:D Yeah, it's pretty hi-tech, but I think I'll manage somehow. ;)

I took this with me to the speech competition this weekend and the initial results are not encouraging. First off, he has the balsa grain running the wrong way for the fins. If you cut them as he shows, the grain runs parallel to the body tube instead of the leading edge. The fin guide that he has provided is completely out of whack. The fins are 15/16", 1 1/16", 15/16", 1.25" and 1" apart according to the guide.
Needless to say, I'm nowhere near as optimistic about this kit as I once was.

Give that fin guide a "Whack" to put it back into "whack" !

Well, I guess the fact that I let this sit for over a month tells you where my interest lies in the project. I made a new fin guide tonight and started attaching the fins, and within ten minutes I was done. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow, and I have a derby party anyway, so that will give me a day to get it painted before it flies on Sunday. (That should make Chan happy.)

No, they jumped the shark when they started doing power ballads for movies.
