Here's another prototype for a custom kit I did for a customer, a Jonny Quest Dragonfly III, basicaly I upsized the wing chord and moved the wing/scoop forward till CG was optimum, and reduced the Dihedral a bit. Turned out really nice with plenty of authority to flare and plop it down without any damage to the belly scoop. 10.5 oz rtf, 26" wingspan, 2" diameter, 34" long. elevon RC control. The cockpit is depron foam shaped and CA'd to the PS-II nose cone, tubing is 2" PS-II tubing, canards are .03 styrene cut to shape, and slotted into the nose cone with a dremel cutoff wheel and CA'd with the proper dihedral. Panel lines done with a fine sharpie and a clear triangle/straight edge, and on the body tube I used a 2" piece of the front tube I cut off and slit it up the middle to wrap around the tube for a guide, around the wing/body area I cut another section off the slit to allow it to wrap around. Nose markings are hand cut vinyl.
