Did I miss something? Do they really go for that kind of money?

I have recently purchased both of these motors for less than half of that.

But I guess ebay is the final arbiter of what someone, somewhere is willing to pay...

Wow. They're starting off kinda high.

I have one each of the E24, F52 & F67 in the package.

The E24 is in a bag while the two F motors are in boxes (See picture).

The E24 was originally sold in a box with a green border. I have not found many of these for sale.

Lee Piester told me that the motors ended up in bags when the cost of the boxes were around $1.00 each! (And that was back in the early 1970's.)

Nope, I don't have a Enerjet D21 (But I have seen the empty case for one).

Lee used to have a small display of Centuri/Enerjet items in his office. One item was an Enerjet 'I' motor casing. It was 54mm in diameter. I believe that was the first hobbiest rocket motor in 54mm and set the standard for the future.

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who thought these prices were a little high. How high might they go if the seller were to just let the bidding take its natural course?

These auctions just prove PT Barnum's old adage. But I think it should be modified to say "Thousands of suckers are born every minute." I could never pay this much for an engine that would be always telling me in an ever increasing voice "LAUNCH ME! LAUNCH ME!". Sooner or later, temptation would get to me and I'd light the damn thing off.

can you sell motors on ebay ?
Nope, you're not supposed to. 95% of the time they get pulled.
