Sorry, wasn't able to launch today. The wind just wouldn't calm down enough. Hopefully Thursday morning, 10/4/07.

E16-7W, 29 MM first flight.

is that a reccomended motor for this kit ?

7 sec delay on a 'lowish' thrust 29mm E motor sounds a little long - I'd say 4 sec delay is a better choice .

( based on my Aerotech Mustang or Initiator, both now lost - Aerotech kits run heavy for thier aprox size ( compared to , say, LOc or Estes or other cardboard kits ) .

just my personal thoughts, how heavy is the finished bird ?

I have flown my AeroTech Mustang, Cheetah and Arreaux on E15-7W motors without any issues.

Now, the Initiator, I agree with using an E15-4W. :D

Al, the engine is a recommended one. The Mustang calls for the same and it falls a short bit before deployment, but i'll try it with 7 first. I haven't weighed it myself, but the box says 12 ozs. I'll see how she flies, as I do on all birds. Thanks for the advice Al.
