I was under the impression that the Estes B6-0 was OOP or slowly but surelu going OOP. Now I notice at the revamped Estes website that they have the B6-0 as still showing. Whats the word on these engines?

I'm willing to bet they're one of the "bring backs." With some of their kits being 18 mm
multi-stage, they need a "low end " and "high end" booster motor for it (B6-0 & C6-0,
respectively, as well as the D12-0).

With Quest already making a B6-0, I wish Estes would bring back an A8-0 or a 1/2A6-0 instead, but I'll take it. :D

Given the introduction of the SolarFlare, where the description clearly includes the B6-0 as one of the booster motors, I'd agree with the "bring-back" idea. As others have noted, it was always available in a Blast-Off pack, but not in the 3-packs. Estes actually shows the B6-0 in their "Engines" section of the website, right along with the other engines.

The main problem I have with the Quest 18 mm motors is that it's not readily available at
local retailers like Estes' is (Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, etc). I could use the Quest B6-0 if the
locals carried it, and the A6-4, since that engine is perfect for some of my models.

Man, I just surfed the net, found a dealer with some Quest B6-0's in stock, made a few mouse clicks, and they magically arrived in the mail a few days later. No problem. :)

I got two packs of the pre-fire B6-0's. Haven't used any yet.

A6-4's are PERFECT for one rocket: the classic Estes Alpha. No kidding, lowest DV of them all.

The B6-0 hasn't been out of production. It's been available in a B6-0/B6-6 bulk pack all along. Estes has just finally decided to package it in 3 packs again. :)

Edit: I see Craig has already mentioned this. :o

The B6-0 was listed in the 2007 Estes Catalog as one of the recommended motors for the Snitch.
