New Quest D18 engines?
I hope this isn't old information, I haven't seen any of this posted recently.

I was going through the MicroMaxx Forum this morning, checking on vendors and prices.
I went to E Hobbies (www.ehobbies.com) to check on MicroMaxx engine availability.

In the lower left there is a "New Products" listing.
There were quite a few New Quest offerings including:

D18-4 and D18-7 engines
Advanced Launch Pad for standard and bigger launch rods
Advanced launch Controller
Big Dog Kit
Excalibur Kit
A re-vamped Flying Saucer Kit
A Gyra helicopter Kit (looks like a gyroc clone)
Planet Probe Kit (a flattened "Point")

All the listed products were listed for May 2008 delivery and were "Not In Stock" as of yet.
I know it takes quite a while for some of the Quest products to get into circulation, but still it looks promising.
None of the new listings could be called up on the Quest site by name or catalog numbers.

There you go!

D18-4 and D18-7? I just have to know what the dimensions on those engines are!

Aren't those the vaporware 18mm composite D engines they have been promising for seveal years?

There is no listing for the new engine diameters and lengths.

It was a little tough to get back to the new Quest listings, so:

When you get to the EHobby home page, click on the "Rocketry" listing at the top (center) of the page under to title block.
It will take you to the general rocketry page.
Then go down to the lower left for the new Quest product listings.

I wish I had more information for you, but it's a start.

These products were announced/displayed at the iHobby show in 2006.

Word has it that the response from hobby distributors/retailers was not as enthusiastic as was hoped so these products were not put into production.

The D18s would have been 18mm diameter x 70mm long composite propellant motors (Same size as standard A, B & C motors).

Quest/Bill Stine will be attending NARAM-50 so there may be some new product news at that time.
