I got home from work today and found that I received my Rocksim v9 CD in the mail today.

Looks like it includes the latest version (9.0.1f70.)

It also has a new launcher program with tabs for installation, video tutorials, and tech reports included on CD. It looks like a nice value add for purchasing the CD.

Got an email from Apogee saying my CD has been shipped...

The latest build is 71, just came out yesterday. No issue, though, as the program will update itself once you crank it up...

My CD with Build 70 arrived today. Still need to find something to put the added parachute on, though... :)

Got mine yesterday. Already have the full version installed on my laptop, but it's always nice to have a hard copy sitting somewhere. Nice parachute; I think this brings me up to ~3 :)

I got the same CD with my order. I think the free gift is based on the number of times you've ordered from Apogee. Kind of like a frequent flyer program! :)

Nice parachute; I think this brings me up to ~3 :)Mine rolled in on Thursday. I think I have 4 parachutes, one each came with RockSim 7, 8, 9, and I got number 4 at NARCON 2006, where I met the extremely famous (to me) JRThro, among other rocket folks. ;) :D

I guess I need to upgrade. I'm still flying my Rocksim V4 CD...

I'm flattered, Jay! That was my first national event, and I got to meet you, Bill, Scott, Scott (McCrate), *and* Lee Piester!

And I still use the free v5 demo!

I didn't say USING. I said FLYING!

I've made lots of rockets out of assorted CDs. AOL CDs seem to be my favorite. They make great spool rockets. I've even got a RAID-5 that's a stack of 5 AOL CDs on a BT20 body tube. And another spool out of a pair of mini-CDs. DVDs too.

But the Rocksim CD is a single disk rocket. Think spool without the top disk. Just run a 13mm MMT through the center, and add a hole for the launch lug. Works great. Not sure if Rocksim can model anything like that, as I've never used it. I still use the software I wrote in college that started life on punched cards.
