With 2010 coming fast, I imagine there will be some changes to YORF.

Anyone aware of any they can talk about, yet?

;) :D

Something is going to happen.

Something wonderful.

There can be no further communication.

YORF will become a print publication which will be delivered by a combination of mail rocket and postmen wearing jet packs.

All these worlds are yours, except Europa. Attempt no landing there. The Great and Powerful Oz has spoken.

On second thought, giving postmen jetpacks is silly.

In 2010 A.D., Ye Old Rocket Newsletter will be delivered by inter-continental pneumatic tubes.

I plan on reading mine in the new Horn & Hardardt Automat opening down the street.

Hey! That would be great! So when is the YORF/Estes conglomerate, going to release the next version of the 1/100th Saturn V?

Will it be in time for the 50th anniversary?

ROFL!

It's 2010.

It's mentioned in other threads.

If Estes has been sold, then the Estes related forums ("Ask *insert name here*") will need to be changed, retired, archived.

So, what's the story?

My Job, is system design and delivery of enterprise class multicarrier shipping software
shameless plug www.bestwaytech.com end plug . At anyrate in our new velocity client released monday .I had the programmers add an icon for "Non terrestrial" services , just incase UPS, FedEx or the post office offers in the near future .

I did not get this far in the industry via backward thinking

So if you ship more than 10k boxes a day , drop me note
( does this now mean i can expense a NAR membership)?

I happen to be in St paul right now . and sometime last year I lost my GN cap in airport security.
The wife and I usually get around to seeing PHC live a few times a year . so far we have only been able to do dress rehersals at the fitz . and an after show in appleton . I do reccomend an aftershow as it seems GC drifts a bit more on the adult side of humor .

Now i know you understand every portion of this post , what do you think the percentage of the other readers have a clue?

Since Estes has been sold (which is what I was hinting at from the first post), we'll need new "Ask insert-name-here" forums.

In my activities as a reviewer of products related to electric powered R/C airplanes I have found some folks at Hobbico very approachable and easy to work with, some not so much. Hobbico/Great Planes does maintain an occasional presence on RC Groups (where I spend lots of time) but not to the degree folks from Horizon do.

It's gonna be interesting to see what happens next, that's for sure.

Do we need a Hobbico logo up top now? :p
