I picked this starter set up off eBay at a price lower Estes MSRP for today's rinky dink sets. I actually bought it because I've been wanting a Big Foot launch pad to display. This became availible so I thought I might grab it and have the X-Wing to build as a bonus since I've retired my vintage one. When I received the package yesterday, I found that it is in mint condition, still in nice tight, clear shrinkwrap. I'm going to have to think hard about opening it now.

If you don't mind, how much was it?

Yes, classic model rockets in mint-condition packaging do have something in common with cake...

Well done...indeed hard to open a kit still fully shrink wrapped.

I love the Luke Skywalker hairdoos on the kids "launching" the model on the box art. :D :D :D

Cool! I picked up a sealed one on ebay a couple of years ago fo $14.00 - I think the other bidder must have fallen asleep :) . Like you, I bought it mainly for the BigFoot.
