This design uses a special nose cone that is available from SEMROC, but which may not be listed on the website. I thought it might be something different enough to try using it again.

For reference, the PPB is part of the turning... :D

Specs:

Length: 23.02"
Diameter: 1.556" (PPB)
Fin Span: 3.96"
Weight: 1.55 oz

A8-3......159'......Dv 14 FPS......36" x 1/8" rod (needs 33" of this, so be careful!)
B4-4......368'......Dv 12 FPS......36" x 1/8" rod
B6-4......372'......Dv 9 FPS.......36" x 1/8" rod
C6-5......767'......Dv 18 FPS......36" x 1/8" rod

Enjoy!

Now that's a really cool-looking rocket! Maybe when I get done with the other 7 or 8 rockets I have in line to build I'll look at it :-)

I'm looking forward to getting some kits from Sirius Rocketry. They've got some really great designs.

Well I just picked up a whole bunch of parts and balsa. So in addition to the kits, I now have a large (to me) box of tubes and other parts. Scratch-building here we come :-)

Folks,

I need to make a quick update to this design. In the original post, I said that SEMROC had this cone available, just not posted. My goof! I had in mind another cone of a similar shape cut for the ST-11 series. Sorry, Carl! :o

If this cone were available, it would likely have a designation of BC-1076SP... :D

Adjusted specs:

Length: 23.25"
Diameter: 1.566" (PPB)
Fin Span: 3.96"
Weight: 1.58 oz

A8-3......157'......Dv 15 FPS
B4-4......365'......Dv 12 FPS
B6-4......370'......Dv 9 FPS
C6-5......765'......Dv 18 FPS
