Another SciFi & Fantasy design, borrowing from the past a bit...

Length: 23.625"
Diameter: 0.908" (ST-8)
Fin Span: 9.90"
Weight: 1.83 oz

A8-3......149'......Dv 14 FPS......36" x 1/8" rod......Needs 33", so take care!
B4-4......416'......Dv 9 FPS.......36" x 1/8" rod......Optimum engine
B6-4......429'......Dv 13 FPS......36" x 1/8" rod......Good second choice

The C6-5 and C6-7 are not recommended. Both have Dv numbers near 40 FPS.

Enjoy!

Another SciFi & Fantasy design, borrowing from the past a bit...Craig,

My first thought, looking at the fins, was that they might be good case for using some light glass. They seem susceptible to breaking on landing.

Then I realized that having glass on them would only make it harder to glue them back together after they break :)

I was thinking about the landing as I worked on those fins. That's why I opted for twin 12" chutes. It brings the descent rate down to 10 FPS, which is relatively soft.

This is sweet looking.

Only thing I might add would be a small lug at the root joint of the two fins.
Laser cannons, er something.

Length: 23.625"
Diameter: 0.908" (ST-8)
Fin Span: 9.90"
Weight: 1.88 oz

A8-3......144'......Dv 16 FPS......36" x 1/8" rod......Use extreme caution - requires 33"
B4-4......406'......Dv 6 FPS.......36" x 1/8" rod......Still the optimum engine
B6-4......418'......Dv 12 FPS......36" x 1/8" rod......Best second-choice engine

Seriously cool desin. Pressing a couple layers of glass (med) between forms would give great fin blanks; Then just cut to shape. would probably stay flexable enough to hold up to the odd landing.
