View Full Version : Two Questions

I have been trying to build a composite NC for a couple of Pershing models. The easiest method that I have been able to copy is to have every diameter change as a transition until the final cone. So far so good. I do have a couple of questions:

Is it possible to specify a core length on a transition. I know that if the part is deemed a Nosecone then the core can be limited such that it does not break through the cone. With a transition - specifically the P-1a, the forward diameter is specified as 0.6" to match the base of the final cone. If I want to specify a 0.75 core in that part to accomodate the ballast it cannot be done. The transition tag treats the core as a through and through. It does not effect the 2D presentation but on 3D there is a disc at the end of the part.

Why if I specify a screw eye on a transition which enters a tube does it not automatically take the shoulder into consideration when placing the mass object? It seems to place it at the aft end of the "transition part" of the transition element. Surely a screw eye would be attached to the end of a transition including the shoulder?
