It wasn't over until it was over. RIP Yogi. Great ambassador to baseball.
Sadly, he is remembered for his odd one liners and for being on of many managers fired by Steinbrenner instead of being one of the greatest Yankee athletes of all time. He hit over .300 several seasons and only struck out 414 times in 19 years. Many "great" hitters strike out that many times in less than 3 years today. In addition, he was a clutch hitter in the postseason. All of this offense from a guy that spent most of his career behind the plate makes it even more impressive.

I always enjoyed Mickey Mantle's stories about "me and Yogi and Billy" :)

Yes, on a team loaded with talent, including Mantle and DiMaggio, Yogi led the team in season RBI's seven years in a row!
