Semroc Sigma

After a weekend of successful multi-stage flights, I've become reinterested in cloning the Semroc Sigma II and Cyber III. I've found the Cyber III information, or at least something I can work with, in the old Semroc Astronautical Modeler, but other than an catalog drawing, I can find nothing on the Sigma II. Does anyone have anything, or should I just take the catalog drawing and guess my best ala the Kopter and RDC clones I've done in the last couple of years?

So, cheap and dirty it is. :)

I did a lot of searching, and unless someone has a kit I think the dimentions in the catalog are all that exits.

Bill,

Have you ever built the old Estes DOM Plan #22, the Tiger Shark? This was my favorite as a kid. It has a gliding booster. I just upscaled the fins for a BT-50 version, the original is BT-20.

That's what I figured, but I knew it couldn't hurt to ask. I did the fins yesterday at lunch and figured out the rest of the parts last night after dinner. I haven't placed the order yet because I have a niggling feeling that I needed something else to finish another project. I'm also ordering the parts for the Cyber III. Based on my Saturday experience with the Farside, that one will fly B6-0/A8-0/A8-5. ;)

Oh, yeah. I have the balsa cut for that one. I run across the envelope when I'm searching my files on occasion. Interesting that my Beta booster glided most of the way back on Saturday.

[thread drift]I have found, much to my surprise, that the booster for the recently released Estes Sterling Silver (and I would presume the identical-save-for-the-livery Epic II at Hobby Lobby) actually glides quite a bit. That makes finding the durn thing after a flight rather more difficult than a proper tumbling booster.

Sorry for the digression, Bill.

Yeah, cuz I've never strayed slightly off topic. :D

Hey, Bernard, give credit where credit is due. I was the one that drifted off-topic, by bringing up the Tiger Shark! :p

I just loved that model so much. But, I never had C booster motors back then ...

These would've been fun kits to have Semroc 2.0 produce. I look forward to seeing your clones!
