JimZ's Site

JimZ has done a little work on his site. There are some new items and his background has changed. He also has added some old Estes pen-and-ink artwork of the Mars Lander, which was on order form envelopes and stuff back in the old days. I loved the old Estes artwork like that.

It was interesting to open this from the Jim Z. Site and see a photo on the upper left of my rocket built in 1993 for the NARAM 35 odd rock contest, “We’re not exactly rocket scientists”. It pre dates the Flis Acme Spitfire. I think Jim Flis was at that NARAM so I hope it planted the seed for the Acme Spitfire.

Space Crater is OOP already? I just saw one at HL about an hour ago.

BTW: It's great that JimZ is getting his groove back!

Nope, I asked Jim about it and he said he would take any of the kits. I have been scanning anything I make but have been a little too busy to spend the time to put specific notes on the tube sizes/ etc.

Estes didn't have the plans for it either as he asks not to include the plans as Estes if Estes has them already.

Great to see the JimZ update on his site ... the layout looks really clean. I haven't paid a visit there in a while I really need to check it out.

I still have a few sheets of that stationary somewhere around here. I completely forgot about it.

I got some in an old Estes Aerospace Team kit I got in an eBay lot of paperwork years ago. There are a bunch of NARAM range box decals on YORP that were in that batch as well. One of my late night "Buy It Now" deals. I had to buy it. I was commanded.

Glad to see the JimZ site active again! It's always been an invaluable treasure trove of past rocket plans and info.

I also like JimZ's new an improved website. I wonder how putting up plans for current kits will go with the new owners of Estes. Not that it matters - many of the new "plans" are low quality. He's just accepting anything and throwing partially complete information up thaere as "plans."
